The trophy is an illusion itself. The front looks like an eye, to symbolize vision, with an apple as the pupil. The apple symbolizes science (Newton) and knowledge. The back of the trophy looks like a fish, as a symbol of life.

Exclusively designed for the 1st Best Visual Illusion of the Year Contest by the Galician sculptor Cándido Novo, and sponsored by Dygrafilms. Cándido Novo is a self-taught artist, born in Lugo (Spain). He immigrated to Buenos Aires as a young man, and he now lives in a small village in the Galician coast (Costa da Morte). Novo paints and designs in private and enjoys his anonymity. He considers himself the soul mate of the recently deceased artist Man de Camelle.
